The Diocesan Boy’s School is one of Hong Kong’s leading private boy’s school founded in 1869, it is one of the oldest secondary schools in the city. Unlike the majority of secondary schools in Hong Kong, the campus is relatively large, with many building scattered on the site. Diocesan boy’s school is the second largest secondary school in Hong Kong, second only to St. Stephen’s College in Stanley. On 4 October 2002, the School Committee decided to join the Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS) with effect from September 2003. Making it the third Anglican school to join the DSS.
